Previous Board Meeting Minutes Approved President`s Report - A friend of The Studio, Beverly Nestgood, connected Carol with Echo Salvage which warehouses used furniture and theater equipment from where she was able to secure some TV monitors and projectors to use in the theater. It will also be a great source to get set furnishings going forward.
- The main Studio sign needs several lights replaced. Electrician suggested that it would make sense to convert all the lights to LED, which will be brighter and last longer and use less electricity, but that would cost around $1,400, so for now the old type lights will be replaced where needed.
- Landlord sent a bill for $1,300 for AC maintenance back in March. Carol is negotiating to get the reduced or removed as The Studio has been doing this maintenance itself.
- Fundraising events Saturday and Sunday, December 28-29:
-- Kid on the Corner will be performed Saturday, Dec 28 in the afternoon and again in the evening
-- Between the two performances, a gala and silent auction will take place to raise additional funds.
-- Debra Getttleman will do a performance to raise money for ten suicide prevention hotline
-- Tickets for all three performances will be $25 and sold through Greasepaint theatre company site.
-- Theatre Artists Studio and Greasepaint Theatre will serve as sponsors for the weekend events.
Financial Committee Report - This year’s year to date revenue is about $4.5 k more than 2018
- Ticket sales are down for the second straight year. Members discussed possible reasons for this, primarily that the current political climate is depressing Studio patrons and they do no feel like going out, especially to serious plays.
- Ticket sales for “Trip to Bountiful” are strong
- New marketing team (Ben and Alexis) helped to boost sales for last performances of “Rathmines Road”
- It was suggested that more free events for patrons be presented to get them more involved in the theatre, things like:
-- First rehearsal party
-- Talk with director
-- Talks with set and scene designers

Business Committee Report To add with The Play ‘S the Thing, It’s Your Play fundraising efforts, it was decided that two board members should be at each performance (before and after) to speak with patrons about the importance of raising these funds. Kirt volunteered to coordinate that effort (and subsequently sent out a sign up sheet to the Board). Marketing Committee Report
