Previous Board Meeting Minutes Approved

President`s Report
- Landlord still working on fixing leaks

- Landlord raised the common fee by $200 a month

- Anxious to start talking about The Studio's move to Paradise Valley Mall

- Still being pressured to pay $1,300 AC maintenance charge from June 2019 after The Studio had already paid for the maintenance to be done by its own contractor

- Possible that properties are for sale by current owner from Dallas

- Got a $50 check from Network for Good. It's probably a scam, but Harry will research it

- TCG wants The Studio to join its theatre group. Harry will look into it; costs and benefits of membership



- Rick Herman is back from Chicago and has a new fundraising video that we will be looking at

- Rick wants to approach AmEx foundation for a substantial donation

- Jason reported that he is trying to set up meetings with the Phoenix Arts Council and other organizations recommended by Councilwoman Stark



- Carol believes that it is vital to get some strong, connected business people on the Board. They must be interested in theatre and share our passion for The Studio and its future

- Carol will talk to Peggy Chamberlin, who was a participating producer of Bountiful and the upcoming Pound

Financial Committee Report
- There is currently more than $28K in the bank (mostly donation from Carol of $25,000)

- There has been a steady flow of small donations

Member Committee Report

Business Committee Report
- Mary sent around a list of show dates and Board members signed up for times they could work the box office

- Need to find a new way to take credit card payments at the door (once NEON contract expires, Jan 31, 2020)

Marketing Committee Report
- Concerned about inactivity from Marketing Committee. Ben has not had any meetings and promotion for The Christians and the fund drive have not been going out

- Carol will ask Alexis to help out with the marketing and will prod Ben again.

- Might need to hire someone to work on the website

-- Maybe an intern (i.e., 10 hours a week at $12 an hour)

-- Carol will ask Maya

-- Kirk will ask his friend Chris M.

-- Maureen may also know someone who might be able to help

Other Business
- Cast listing for The Christians needs to be fixed on posters

- Richard will create a video to promote The Christians



- Marney reported that WIlliam Hawking's 90-year-old mother, who he has brought to opening nights for all The Studio shows for the last several years, has passed away. Marney will send a card from The Studio



- Carol reminded everyone that THE STUDIO IS WORTH KEEPING because it delivers stellar product!
